Overview

Holds the current set of active error/fault conditions for a connector — this is the tag type behind the %ERROR channel. Unlike DiagnosticTag's rolling log, ErrorTag tracks each distinct error by its message number: a given error condition updates or clears in place rather than piling up a new entry every time it re-fires.

Value

The set of currently active error messages (number, description, details), keyed by message number.

Transform Options

ErrorTag doesn't support Transform — the field is ignored entirely for this type, even if something is entered into it.

Type Attributes

ErrorTag doesn't use Type Attributes — the field has no effect if set.

Notes

  • This type is normally created automatically by Collect itself (every connector gets its own %ERROR tag) rather than added manually by an end user — it's documented here mainly so its behaviour is understood when reviewing a connector's diagnostics.
  • Because errors are keyed by number rather than queued, seeing the same error number reported doesn't mean it fired multiple times — it means that specific condition is still active (or has just recurred after being cleared).
